Relocate Almeria — Area Information
The province of Almeria in Andalusia, offers a wide diversity of scenery. There are three natural parks:
- The Cabo de Gato Natural Park in Nijar has deserted beaches with stunning coastal scenery.
- The Santa Maria Natural Park in Los Velez with it's castle, caves and rich fauna.
- The Sierra Nevada with mountains and skiing
The city of Almeria is Andalucia's most eastern capital. Almeria holds a great deal of charm and is steeped in history. It is located at the foot of a mountain range which is crowned by the magnificent Alcazaba, an Arab fortress.
Albox – a thriving market town nestled between the Sierra de las Estancia and the Sierra de los Filabres mountains. There is a busy weekly market where all manner of goods can be purchased from fresh local produce to handcrafted items.
Arboleas – an attractive village with a strong agricultural history. The area is surrounded by olive groves, orange and lemon orchards and almond trees. Goat herds are still a common sight in the surrounding countryside.
Garrucha – a typical Spanish fishing village/marina and fish market. The scenic promenade attracts visitors for a stroll by the seafront.
Mojacar Playa – 9 km of beautiful sandy beach which is only 5 minutes away from the pueblo. The area has a wide range of international hotels, golf courses, restaurants and bars.
Mojacar Pueblo – an ancient town home to an international artist colony that sits on top of a hillside. This is a beautiful Moorish white village popular with holidaymakers.
Vera Playa – only 5 minutes drive from Vera town and the aqua park. There is a popular nudist beach.
